Is the Queen Elizabeth psychiatric hospital in Black Rock really necessary?

On the other hand there is a group of people in Barbados who have been marginalized and stigmatized more than any other. If you are known to be afflicted with a mental illness the average Barbadian will shun you like a leper. If you want to live a ‘normal’ life do not visit that Black Rock facility. – Bajan

We are reminded of how people are constantly misdiagnosed in school systems in the west as being remedial simply because the teachers do not understand the students culture and/or home life. This same pattern seems to take place in lovely Barbados with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Black Rock, could it  be because of the monetary disparities that cause “abnormal” responses to everyday situations by people?

Note that QEH is an extension of the main birmingham hospital in the uk. Something to think about.

Not to mention that millions of dollars if not more are spent on testing medications and new poisions on people in prisons and mental hospitals. Could that be why the name of the hospital traces back to colonialism and british rule? They need guinea pigs so they build a mental hospital and misdiagnose the less wealthy to help them continue to make a profit. What do you think?

Interesting Videos speaking towards misdiagnosis and how early mistreatment can lead us all to visit the facility in Black Rock if we do not exercise some self-control and understand ourselves.
