Great News for the residents of Lome, Togo

The Japanese Tokushukai Medical Group (JTMG) was founded in January of 1973 with the Tokuda Hospital (current Matsubara Tokushukai Hospital) established in Matsubara City, Osaka, Japan. Read More

Mission of The Japanese Tokushukai Medical Group “We intend to continue our work, not only in large hospitals, but in local clinics as well, and in the kind welfare facilities that grow increasingly important as the graying of the Japanese population advances. Furthermore, we are expanding our medical and welfare facilities to serve the needs of depopulated and isolated areas and regions where medical care is insufficient.” More

Doing some research it appears that JTMG founded the Tokuda Hospital during a time when environmental problems were at their highest point due to the government ignoring environmental concerns during its post world war two growth. That along with the oil crisis in ’73 issues like  air pollution, waste management, water pollution, amongst others caused the need for more hospitals and specialized hospitals.

JTMG will begin their feasability study to locate the most useful location for a hospital in Lome. Hopefully it will have a view of the magnificent Independence Monument.
