Mauritania and Senegal working together

“I came with a message from Senegalese President Maitre Abdoulaye Wade to the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and the reception was very warm as usual.”
The Senegalese minister added that the meeting “made it possible to review the known issues in the presence of my counterpart, Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy and come to decisions that have been agreed upon.”
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy Mr. Ogzva Born Oier and the Ambassador accredited to Mauritania, Senegal, Mr. Mamadou was.- Mauritanian News Agency

This meeting with Senegal is very important as the european union has been cut from the fisheries agreemtn with Morocco they now need a new supplier in the fisheries sector. Though they are looking at Mauritania and Guinea Bissau, Mauritania may no longer be an option.

“Following the suspension of the fisheries agreement between the European Union (EU) and Morocco, decided by the European Parliament (EP) on 14 December, the EU fisheries sector is experiencing a situation of uncertainty about the future of other important agreements with countries such as Mauritania and Guinea Bissau. – Source

Understand that that is one european block that is dependent on three countries within the global majority.
